Do you have a size to fit me?
Yes. Our sizes are generously cut and fit a wide variety of body types. Check the size chart below. If you do not fit in one of the sizes, Email Us your chest, waist and inseam measurements. We will either recommend the correct size for you, or we will design a custom sized pattern for you. There is a one-time pattern drafting charge of $20.00 for each size and style. We keep your pattern on file and you may order from it at any time in the future at no extra charge. Remember, our dancewear is cut longer in the crotch and inseam and larger in the foot than other commercial dancewear. It is designed to fit REAL people. So if dancewear you have purchased in the past has been too short in the leg, won't come all the way up to your waist, is unduly tight in the thighs, or pinches your feet, FEAR NOT. You won't have those problems with our dancewear. COLORS AND SIZES
All styles, except socks, are available in:
unisex stock sizes S, M, L, XL, XXL
short/stout sizes L, XL, XXL
All other colors and sizes must be custom ordered.
Socks are available in M, L, XL
Our dancewear stretches somewhat beyond the measurements shown here. However, if your measurements are outside the parameters of these charts, you may need to order a custom pattern. Call us for sizing advice.
I am, (enter your height and weight here). What size would I be?
We cannot determine your correct size by height and weight. Size is determined by waist and inseam, plus chest if you are ordering unitards or leotards. Our size chart and information on custom sizing is just above this question.
Do you carry children's sizes?
What colors do you have in cotton/Lycra©?
Any color your heart desires. Our cotton/Lycra© fabric comes from the mill in either black or white. We must custom dye all other colors. You may have any color you wish for a nominal custom dye charge of $15.00 PER COLOR. We can fit about six pairs of tights, 4 unitards, or twelve pairs of socks in one dye batch. So, for example, you may have from one to six pairs of tights dyed the same shade of red for one $15.00 price, or you may save money by sharing the same colors among several pairs of particolour tights.
What colors do you have in nylon/Lycra©?
White, chartreuse, (makes your eyes bleed), electric yellow, neon lime, neon orange, neon pink, turquoise, teal, royal blue, navy, fuschia, red, burgundy, forest green, silver, black.
What colors do you have in other fabrics?
We have a wide variety of specialty fabrics, and it would be impossible to list them all here, especially all the prints. But here is a list of our most popular fabrics and the colors in which they are available.
White, champagne, light pink, neon coral, neon lime, purple, burgundy, emerald, forest green, royal blue, navy, chocolate, silver, lilac, red, black. Party Animals, (black tiger stripes on coral, lime, and lilac. Very festive.) Nylon/Lycra©:
White, chartreuse (makes your eyes bleed, it's so bright), electric yellow, neon lime, neon orange, neon pink, turquoise, teal, royal blue, navy, purple, fuschia, red, burgundy, silver black.
Gold on black tricot, Silver on white tricot, Rainbow swirl.
Black, red, cobalt blue, purple,white.
luxury velvets, printed micromeshes, printed panne' velvets in florals, animal prints, and geometrics.
What is the difference between cotton/Lycra© and nylon/Lycra©?
Cotton/Lycra© has a flat finish, nylon/Lycra© is shiny. They both have about the same amount of stretch in all directions, (100%). Both are completely opaque. Cotton/Lycra© absorbs perspiration and wicks it away from the body better than nylon/Lycra©.
What specialty fabrics do you have?
As of this writing, we have metallics, stretch vinyl, nylon/Lycra©, panne' velvet, luxury velvets, micromeshes, printed panne' velvets, preprinted cotton/Lycra©/poly stripes, "reptile". We do add fabrics to our collection, so if you don't see what you are looking for listed here, Email Us and let us know what you are looking for. We may have it or may be able to get it.
What are the characteristics of some of your specialty fabrics?
Very, very shiny metallic look. Tiny shiny plastic mylar dots on tricot. Looks really cool! Gold is printed on black tricot, Silver is printed on white tricot. Stretch is good. Breathability is moderate.
Moderately shiny, 100% + stretch in all directions, soft, thick, completely opaque. Breathability is fair.
Looks like crushed velvet, excellent stretch, very comfortable, soft (especially the printed panne'). Breathability is good.
Extremely shiny, limited stretch (fit will be tight), heavy weight, very sexy. NO breathability whatsoever! Prepare to sweat. We don't make faceless hoods out of this, by the way. One must have a hole in the hood through which to breathe.
A nylon mesh fabric. Mesh is as close together as fine tulle. NOT OPAQUE. Good stretch, but not as much as our cotton/Lycra©. This fabric is usually used for insets and stage costumes. Printed versions are very interesting.
Cotton/Lycra© with a little bit of polyester. Almost as thick and stretchy as our cotton/Lycra©. Stripes are completely colorfast, (due to the polyester content), and can be cut horizontally or vertically. (Our XXL unitard cut with the stripes running vertically is the exception. This item cannot be cut with the stripes running vertically, as the fabric isn't wide enough). Excellent for striped German Lanskenecht hosen, jesters, elves, and the like.
Panne' velvet with a shiny plastic dots applied to it in a snake skin pattern. Available in two colors, black on dark brown and black on black. Limited stretch, tight fit. Breathability is good. Very unusual.
Looks and feels like a high quality rayon velvet. Limited stretch in the length. To compensate, we us patterns that are longer than our regular patterns. Soft and beautiful. Good breathability. Won't crush.
Can I get swatches?
Yes. You may have one to three swatches for free. Email Us to request them. You may have sets of swatches of several specialty fabrics for $5.00, a full set of all fabric swatches for $10.00. Send your request and payment, (check or money order) to:

Can you make me a, (insert name of your favorite superhero here), costume?
Superhero/comic book characters are copyrighted. It is not legal to commercially reproduce costumes for these characters without a license granted from the copyright holder. We do not possess any such licenses. Therefore, we cannot make Superman, Spiderman, Batman, or any other such copyrighted costumes. You can bet, if you saw it in a comic book or on-line, its copyrighted. However, is it not illegal for you to pony up your own superhero costume, as long as you do not wear it for promotional purposes, (such as for store openings, or to wear for paid entertainment). We can make you generic unitards, leotards, and tights, with some custom pattern work, that you can adapt to make your favorite superhero costumes by adding insignia, belts, gloves, etc. If you have questions about how you can use our dancewear to put together your own superhero costume, Email Us. If you have a superhero design of your own, or you are ordering on behalf of a costume shop which has received a corporate commission for a "walkaround" character that does not require that we possess a license to make it, we can make all the "stretchy" parts for you. We have made many such fine characters (like "The Webster", the "Raid/Off" guy, the "911" guy, panthers, snow leopards), for individuals, shops, and advertisers around the country.
Can you make this? (insert custom garment of your choice here).
Probably. We can make just about anything that stretches. If it deviates much from our basic styles, we will probably need to see a drawing or sketch of what you want in order to quote a price. See below for tips on conveying your idea(s) to us.
How do you price particolour tights and unitards?
Start with the base price of the garment. Then add a custom dye charge for every color except black or white, (see answers above for details on custom dyeing). There is also a charge for each panel we have to cut, whether horizontal or vertical. So, for example, if you order a pair of footed tights size large in purple and green with 4 alternating panels per leg, you would start with a base price of $35.50, add $30.00 for two custom dye charges, and $20.00 for 8 panels. If you want, say black and purple, you would only have a $15.00 dye charge, as black is not a custom dye.
How do you price other custom garments?
Simple alterations to our basic patterns are a one-time pattern drafting fee of $20.00 per size. This is our most common charge. Very occasionally, customers request patterns that are so radically different from our basic patterns that they must be drafted from scratch or they require extensive revisions that can cost from $50 to $75 per pattern. Size gradation from these patterns are $20 per size. Email Us for a price quote.
How can I convey to you my ideas for my custom garment?
You can Email Us a sketch or drawing in jpeg format, or you can Email Us a description. If you wish to send us a graphic by snail mail, mail it to:
P.O. Box 3884
Glendale, CA 91221-0884
Do you rent, make, or sell Renaissance or Medieval costumes?
We only make garments that stretch, (i.e., particolour tights w/copieces). For a list of great resources for full Renaissance or Medieval costumes, or any other parts thereof, please have a look at our Resources Page.
Do you rent, make, or sell "dance" costumes, leg warmers, tutus, or other such dance accessories?

We ship by either FedEx, UPS or Airborne, whichever is least expensive at the time. Delivery is within two to three days from day of shipment. Warning, Will Robinson, International shipping is expensive, (the first pound is anywhere from $34.00US to $50.00US.), and there may be duty charges which you must pay on delivery of merchandise. The exception to this is UPS ground service to Canada. This route is pretty inexpensive, $7.00 to $10.00 for the first pound, and it takes about a week to 10 days from ship date to delivery. Due to insurance constraints, international packages shipped by U.S. Post will be shipped entirely at the recipient's risk.
